1. About Bordy
Bordy is a free, open-source kanban board application designed for personal productivity and task management. The application runs entirely in your web browser and stores all data locally on your device using IndexedDB technology.
Open Source: Bordy is released as open-source software on GitHub. You are free to use, modify, and distribute it in accordance with the applicable open-source license.
2. No Warranty
This software is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- The warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the software is with you.
3. Limitation of Liability

Data Responsibility: You are solely responsible for backing up your data. While Bordy provides export functionality, we cannot guarantee data recovery in case of loss.
4. Local Data Storage
Bordy stores all your data locally in your web browser using IndexedDB. This means:
- Your data never leaves your device (unless you explicitly export it)
- We do not collect, store, or have access to your tasks, boards, or any personal information
- Clearing your browser data will permanently delete your Bordy data
- Data is not synced across devices or browsers
Data Persistence
Browser-stored data may be cleared by:
- Manually clearing browser cache/data
- Browser storage limits being exceeded
- Browser updates or reinstallation
- Operating system maintenance
- Using private/incognito browsing mode
We strongly recommend regularly exporting your data as a backup.
5. Use at Your Own Risk
By using Bordy, you acknowledge that:
- You use this software entirely at your own risk
- You are responsible for evaluating the suitability of this software for your needs
- You should not rely on this software for critical or irreplaceable data without maintaining external backups
- The software may contain bugs or errors that could affect its functionality
6. No Support Obligation
As a free, open-source project:
- There is no obligation to provide technical support
- There is no guarantee of bug fixes or updates
- There is no commitment to maintain backward compatibility
- The project may be discontinued at any time without notice
